# Orange Poppy Seed Cake

## Ingredients

### Cake

- 5 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup oil
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup poppy seeds
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- A squeeze of lemon

### Glaze

- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp butter

## Method

1. Mix all the cake ingredients well: eggs, sugar, oil, juice, flour, baking powder, lemon, vanilla and poppy seeds.
2. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 35 minutes and check with a skewer, which should come out clean.
3. Glaze: stir the ingredients over heat until thickened. Let the cake cool and pour the glaze over it.
